Flashes Wrap up Inverness Intercollegiate

TOLEDO, Ohio- The Kent State University men's golf team finished the week with an eighth-place finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate Tuesday Afternoon.
The Flashes capped a three-round total of 28-over (880) at the par-71, 7172-yard Inverness Club.
Kent State had three top-25 finishers in Cade Breitenstine, Josh Gilkison, and Will Kurtz.
Breitenstine finished tied for 11th at 3-over 216, In his final round, he carded a 3-over 74 after he fired three birdies. Gilkison fired a 1-under final-round score and tied for 17th at 4-over 217. In his final round, Gilkison 16 holes for par or better with three birdies. Tied for 22nd was Kurtz who posted a three-round total of 5-over 218. He fired an even-par final round.
Julien Paltirnieri finished the tournament at 17-over 230 after he posted a final-round score of 5-over, while Chris Doody rounded out the lineup with a 21-over 230 score.
Chris Vandette competed as an individual and finished at 29-over 242.
Kent State returns to action Oct. 7-8 as the Flashes compete in the Fighting Irish Classic in South Bend, Ind.
