Three Flashes Score Hat Tricks in Loss to Saint Francis

KENT, Ohio โ The Kent State women's lacrosse team suffered its sixth loss of the season at the hands of Saint Francis, 18-13, at Dix Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Flashes jumped on the scoreboard first for the fourth time this year. Graceyn Dean received a pass from Abby Jones and rifled home her third goal of the season.
The two teams alternated goals early in the first half before the Red Flash scored four straight goals to make it 7-3 at the 13:46 mark. Saint Francis took a 9-5 advantage into the halftime locker room.
Kent State exploded out of the gate to start the second half behind quick goals from Megan Kozar and Abby Jones. Saint Francis scored the next six goals to take a 15-7 lead with 21:35 left to play.
Jones led the way for the Flashes with five points (4g, 2a), while Kozar tallied her second hat trick of the season. Madison Rapier earned her first hat trick of the season. Eva Nikolai led the team with four draw controls and two ground balls.

The Golden Flashes will conclude its four-game homestand with future Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan on Friday, March 13 at 3 p.m. Kent State will then travel to Howard and Delaware State before hosting Akron in a neutral site contest at the U.S. Lacrosse facility in Baltimore, Md.
