
Flashes Battle Longwood in MAC Tournament Semifinals

The No. 23 Kent State field hockey team (12-5, 6-1 MAC) is set to compete against Longwood in the 2021 Mid-American Conference tournament semifinals on Friday, Nov. 5 at 2:30 p.m.
The Golden Flashes secured the tournament's second seed after splitting the regular season conference title with Miami and now face the third seeded Lancers for a chance to play in the finals.
Top seeded Miami and fourth seeded Ohio face off in the other semifinal on Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Kent State enters the tournament on a hot streak, winning seven of their last eight games. The Flashes have been consistent all year boasting a national ranking and regular season victories over the three other opponents in the draw.
The winner of each semifinal game will battle for it all on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. with the conference championship on the line. The champion will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. The selection show for the NCAA tournament will be held on Sunday evening at 10 p.m.
