Flashes Field Hockey Recognized with National Academic Awards

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recently announced its Zag Field Hockey / Division I National Academic Squad for the 2020-21 academic year.
In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the academic year. Kent State had 16 student-athletes honored.
The Golden Flashes highlighting the list are: Hailie Balachick, Ashley Bonetz, Azure Fernsler, and Clara Rodriguez Seto, who are all four-year recipients of the award.
Kent State was also represented by: Larissa Balachick, Emma Bressler, Sydney Carr, Meghan Daly, Caitlin Holland, Liza Keadle, Luisa Knapp, Jenna McCrudden, Rebecca Nelson, Victoria Tinghitella, Sydney Washburn, and Katie Wuerstle.
In addition to the National Academic Squad, three Flashes earned further recognition by the NFHCA. Fernsler, Holland, and Keadle were also all recognized as NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction. This program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
