The Kent State field hockey team (7-3, 5-3 MAC) travels to Athens, Ohio to battle against Ohio University on Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17 at Pruitt Field. Friday's game will start at 3 p.m. and Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
The Golden Flashes won both of their games last weekend against Ball State University. They have now beaten the Cardinals the last ten times the two teams have met. They look to continue their streak against Ohio as well, a team they have also beaten the past eight times.
SCOUTING OHIO
The Bobcats finished 2019 with an 8-8 overall record and are 3-7 this Spring. Five of their seven losses this year have been decided by only one goal. Freshman goalkeeper Macy Lotze received Defensive Player of the Week honors last week allowing no goals while making nine saves. Ohio defeated Longwood 3-1 their last time out.
THE SERIES
Last season, the Golden Flashes beat the Bobcats 5-1 at Murphy-Mellis Field. Kent State now holds a 51-26-2 all-time series advantage over Ohio.
