There are few teams that can boast the consistent success of what the Kent State women's golf team has done, as the team has shown since its creation. Since 1999, there has only been one team to win the MAC Championship every year- Kent State. The Flashes have never lost a conference championship and will be a favorite to take number 22, the longest streak ever for any sport.
This year's field includes, Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.
Competing for Flashes in this year's championships is Emily Price, Chloe Salort, Kory Nielsen, Caley McGinty, and Mayka Hoogeboom.
Kent State had a strong finish to the 2021 season as the Flashes took home individual and team titles in back-to-back tournaments. Out of six tournaments, Kent State finished in the top-5 spot five times with No. 25 ranked McGinty claiming two tournament titles and No. 16 ranked Price winning at the Indiana Individual.
Since the 2020 MAC Championships were canceled due to COVID-19, the Flashes last competed in the MAC Championships in 2019 and claimed the crown by 18-strokes.
