Kent State falls to Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Kent State field hockey team (5-5, MAC 3-0) fell 3-0 against Ohio State (5-5) this afternoon.
The Golden Flashes went scoreless as they took on the Buckeyes. Ohio State struck first in the first period when they earned a penalty corner and Leanne Bough took a shot from the top of the circle. The Buckeyes scored the second goal in the following quarter and two more in each quarter of the second half.
Cecile van Eijck made eight saves and defender Danielle Hamm had three shots and two shots on goal. Ohio State led in shots (19-7) and penalty corners (5-3).
The Golden Flashes celebrate the 2022 seniors and face off against Central Michigan on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 12 p.m.
