Hoogeboom Named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND Ohio... It was announced on Monday that Mayka Hoogeboom had been named Mid American Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
The Kent State senior captured her second individual tournament win of the season in Kansas, carding a 182 to help the Flashes take the top spot at the Naismith/Sunflower Invitational in Lawrence.
Hoogeboom, a native of the Netherlands, has also been excellent in the classroom, posting a 3.7 GPA in communications as she looks to finish her senior year strong.
The Flashes will be back in action on October 31st to finish out the fall portion of their season as the team travels to Florida for the Hurricane Invitational.
