Placida Fla... The Kent State men's golf team stayed put in the standings on the final day of the Coral Creek Invitational to finish in a tie for 8th among the field of 16.
"We're definitely frustrated with the results," Flashes head coach Jon Mills said. "We didn't take advantage of the par 5's mixed and we were inconsistent off the tee and with our approach shots. With all of that we still had an opportunity to move up but got off to a slow start. That left us trying to play catch up which doesn't work.
The Flashes were led by Chris Vandette, who finished six strokes over par with an overall score of 216.
As a team, Kent State carded an 866 to tie with #18 Texas A&M and another MAC foe in Toledo.
The Flashes will have the next two weeks off before heading to South Carolina for the General Hackler Championship on March 13-14.
