
Flashes Complete Day 2 at NCAA East Prelims

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Four student-athletes represented the Kent State women's track and field program during competition on Thursday at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds.
Grace Tennant led the way by placing 16th in the shot put with a mark of 53'-4.25". Tennant added a season-best throw of 150'-11" for 26th in the javelin. Gabby Bailey joined Tennant in the shot put and posted a top throw of 52'-3.25" for 24th.
Benja Duff took 31st in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.62 seconds.
Leah Pasqualetti rounded out the Golden Flashes' competitors on the day, clearing 12'-11.75" to finish in a tie for 32nd in the pole vault.
Alexandre Malanda and Anthony Milliner will compete in the triple jump at 6 p.m. Friday as men's competition comes to a close. Bailey, Tennant and Aliesha Shaw will be in action in the women's discus throw at 1 p.m. Saturday.
