
Senior Night Highlights Home Weekend for Flashes Volleyball

Kent State will resume its home schedule this weekend when Central Michigan visits the M.A.C. Center for a pair of matches.
First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday with a 4 p.m. match to follow on Saturday, which will be Senior Night. Student-athletes Kiana Mack, Bryn Roberts and Burgundy Walters will be honored following the contest.
Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State (6-18, 2-11 MAC) took down Toledo, 3-1, last Saturday to end a four-match road stretch with momentum. Sophomores Mackenzie McGuire (21 kills, 11 digs) and Kendall White (29 assists, 14 digs) posted double-doubles in the victory, while freshman Logan Henderson added 11 kills.
Outside hitter Mackenzie McGuire is the MAC leader with 4.04 kills per set. McGuire surpassed 500 career kills against Western Michigan on Oct. 5 and is averaging the most kills per set by a Golden Flash since the 2009 season. Setter Kendall White orchestrates the offense and averages 6.95 assists per set, which puts her 10th in the conference.
Libero Bryn Roberts ranks fourth in the conference in digs per set (4.25) and ninth in aces per against Miami on Oct. 13 and is tied for fifth all-time in digs per set (3.26).
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
The Chippewas (12-13, 6-7 MAC) are back in the MAC Tournament picture and enter with a season-best four-match winning streak. Central Michigan has posted a .255 hitting percentage over the past four matches and is 6-0 when hitting better than .250 this season.
Opposite Kristyna Kasson leads the attack with 2.77 kills per set and a .290 hitting percentage. Setter Claire Ammeraal is fifth in the MAC with 8.82 assists per set. Libero Ally Gurtiza ranks sixth in the conference in digs per set (4.11).
SERIES HISTORY
The Golden Flashes are 23-33-1 record all-time against Central Michigan. Kent State has dominated the series in recent years, going 23-9 since 1995.
UP NEXT
Kent State will play its final road matches of the season at Eastern Michigan on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11.
