Flashes Open Spring Season at Hal Williams Collegiate

Mobile, AL... With the winter break in the rear view mirror, the Kent State men's golf team will return to the links on Monday to kick off the Hal Williams Collegiate, and the spring portion of their season.
"The team is very excited to get the spring started," KSU head coach Jon Mills said. "Most of the guys are familiar with this course and they seem focused after and up and down fall. I'm excited to see what this week brings.
The Flashes are coming off of a strong fall campaign that saw Kent State take two second-place finishes at the Gopher Invitational and Windon Memorial back in September.
In their first event of the new year, Kent State will have to contend with a pair of ranked foes in #5 Illinois and #21 Kansas State.
Conditions in Mobile are expected to be fair throughout the week, with temperatures in the mid-60s on Monday and Tuesday.
The Flashes will be paired with Toledo, Memphis and Southern Miss with a start time of 8:0 ET. Live scoring throughout the event can be found on Golfstat.com.
