CLEVELAND - On Friday, the Mid-American Conference released their picks for women's golf postseason awards, and after collecting a 24th consecutive MAC title, the Flashes swept the big three, with four members of their team receiving All-MAC nominations.
For her stellar play throughout the 2022-23 season, Mayka Hoogeboom was named MAC Golfer of the Year. The senior collected individual victories at both the Sunflower and Dick McGuire Invitationals earlier this season before closing out her campaign with a strong spring.
In just her first season with Kent State, Leon Takagi shined, and truly saved her best for last, winning an individual title at this year's MAC Championship, and earning the title of MAC Freshman of the Year.
And finally, head coach Casey VanDamme collected MAC Coach of the Year honors after leading the Flashes to their second straight conference crown in as many years at the helm for Kent State.
Noramol Nuchsila and Jennifer Gu joined Hoogeboom on the All-MAC First Team, while Takagi collected All-MAC Second Team honors after a terrific campaign.
Here then is a look at the complete list of MAC golfers honored by the conference this postseason.
