Flashes Release Field Hockey Promotional Schedule

KENT, Ohio - The Kent State field hockey team is excited to announce the promotional schedule for the upcoming 2023 season.
The Golden Flashes will take the pitch at Murphy-Mellis Field for eight home contests this season. Highlights of the promotional schedule include International Day at the home opener, Youth Field Hockey Day, Sundaes on Sunday, Freeze Out the Stigma for Mental Health Awareness, 2000's Day, Halloween Theme, Senior Day, and Pride Day.

September 1 vs. Michigan State
- International Day: Join us as we recognize countries and nations around the world. For the home opener, fans will receive luggage tags and schedule posters.
September 3 vs. UC Davis
- Youth Field Hockey Day: Help us promote the sport and passion for the game. Fans can receive a powder blue T-shirt and post game autographs from the Flashes.
September 17 vs. Michigan
- Sundaes on Sunday: Enjoy delicious free Handel's ice cream before the game while we recognize 2023 Varsity K Hall of Fame inductee Hannah Faulkner.
September 22 vs. Ohio
- Freeze Out the Stigma: Help the Flashes spread mental health awareness. Fans can grab free Kona Ice and a winter hat for an exciting Mid-American Conference contest.
October 8 vs. Ohio State
- 2000's Night: Students and fans will have a chance to receive a bucket hat and enjoy throwback excitement from throughout the 2000's.
October 13 vs. Miami
- Halloween Game: Dress in your best Halloween costume for Friday the 13th. Fans can take home their own Jason mask and trick-or-treat candy.
October 15 vs. Lock Haven
- Senior Day Gold Out: Paint Murphy-Mellis Field gold as we recognize the accomplishments of our five senior student-athletes. Fans will receive a gold rally towel.
October 22 vs. Longwood
- Pride Day: Join us in celebrating Pride Day at the last home contest of the season. Don't miss out on our Pride T-shirt giveaway and tattoos.
