Jennifer Gu, Berta Sanchez, and Leon Takagi all recorded top 30 finishes as they competed at nearby Toledo in the Glass City Invitational.
Gu and Sanchez both recorded their best individual finishes of the season, tying for 22nd at nine over par. Sanchez competed as an indivdiual. Takagi was one stroke behind them, tying for 26th.
Veronika Kedronova also snuck inside the top 40, as the first year tied for 37th after 54 holes of play. Kent State finished 9th out 10 teams.
Head Coach Casey VanDamme noted that although it wasn't the Golden Flashes best performance, he knows they have the ability to bounce back.
"We were not prepared for the challenging golf course this week," said VanDamme. "We need a good week of practice to get ready for the next event. I am confident we will turn it around fast!"
Noramol Nuchsila, Hester Sicking and Vera Yi also competed in the tournament, with Yi making her Kent State debut.
