Volleyball Hosts Toledo as Senior Weekend Ends 2024 Campaign

Kent State closes the season with Senior Weekend as Toledo visits the M.A.C. Center for a pair of matches. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Both contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
The senior class of Breanna Burrell, Tylee Fuller, Chelsea Harvey, Karina Salinas and Anna Shoemake will be recognized following Saturday's contest.

PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State (2-23, 1-13 MAC) looks to prevent Toledo from earning the final spot in next weekend's Mid-American Conference Tournament and finish the year on a winning note.
Junior Mackenzie McGuire leads the Golden Flashes' attack with an average of 3.14 kills per set. Mack, who is four kills away from 900 for her career, is averaging 4.35 kills per set during the five matches this month.
Junior Kendall White ranks ninth in the Mid-American Conference with an average of 7.24 assists per set. White has posted 12 double-doubles is second on the team in digs per set (2.58).
Junior Greta Bolognini is the only Flash who has appeared in all 89 sets this season and leads the team in digs per set (2.97).
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Toledo
The Rockets (15-13, 8-8 MAC) have won only one set during the current five-match losing streak and need to win both contests this weekend to keep hope alive for a spot in the conference tournament. Outside hitter Taylor Alt became the MAC's all-time kills leader (2,083) earlier this season and is averaging 3.69 kills per set this season. Outside hitter Izzy Granger adds 2.78 kills per set. Libero Grace Freiberger ranks second nationally among freshmen at 4.94 digs per set.
SERIES HISTORY
Kent State evened the all-time series 35-35 with 3-1 victory in Toledo last season. Mackenzie McGuire led the attack with 21 kills and Bryn Roberts tallied a match-high 24 digs to anchor the defense. The Rockets had won the previous four meetings.
