
Track and Field In Action at Akron, Meyo Invitationals

The Kent State track and field program will have student-athletes in action this at both the Akron Invitational and Meyo Invitational.
AKRON INVITATIONAL (FEB. 2)
The Golden Flashes have 23 student-athletes entered for competition at the University of Akron. The single-day meet is scheduled to begin with field events at 4 p.m. and running events slated for 4:30 p.m.
MEYO INVITATIONAL (FEB. 2-3)
Kent State has five student-athletes — Kristian Kneffler (men's pole vault), Nolan Landis (men's shot put), Grace Luther (women's weight throw), Gabby Bailey (women's shot put) and Aliesha Shaw (women's shot put) — who rank in the top-100 nationally entered for competition at the University of Notre Dame.
Competition for the Flashes begins Friday at 4 p.m. with Bailey and Shaw in the women's shot put. Jackson Albanese is the first Kent State athlete set to compete on Saturday in the men's 3,000-meter run at 10 a.m.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes will send athletes to compete at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 9-10) and SPIRE Indoor Games (Feb. 10) next weekend.
