KENT, Ohio — The Kent State lacrosse team has announced its promotional schedule for an electrifying spring at Dix Stadium. Check out all the exciting themes and giveaways below:Â
February 17 vs George Mason
Home Opener/Schedule Poster Giveaway: Start the season off with the home opener at Dix Stadium. Take home the 2024 edition of the Kent State lacrosse schedule poster and enjoy a complimentary drink at the hot chocolate bar while supplies last.
March 7 vs Longwood
FlaSHEs Will: Join us for the annual FlaSHEs Will game featuring free bracelets for fans in attendance. Kent State's FlaSHEs Will campaign was launched to highlight the rich history of Kent State Women's Athletics and celebrate the incredible female student-athletes who have represented the Golden Flashes. Kent State Athletics first partnered with the university's Women's Center in 2017 to raise awareness of gender equity issues and Title IX by tabling at one event per women's team each season. Scarves and mittens will also be on site to help battle the cold.
March 9 vs Bucknell
White Out/Morgan's Message: Grab a free white pom and white Morgan's Message t-shirt as the Flashes battle Bucknell. Information regarding Morgan's Message will be on hand as well. Morgan's Message strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. Clear Kent State Lacrosse stadium bags will also be available.
March 19 vs Pitt
Faculty/Staff Appreciation: Help us recognize our dedicated Kent State faculty/staff. The team's MVPs (Most Valuable Professors) will be honored during the game. The first 50 fans in attendance will receive a free hot dog.
March 23 vs Robert Morris
Powder Blue Out/Shirsey Giveaway: Wear your best powder blue and head to Dix Stadium for the Powder Blue Out. Match the team with your very own powder blue "shirsey" – free to the first 100 fans.
April 7 vs Akron
Senior Day/Solar Eclipse Day/Youth Sports Day: Arrive early for a special pregame ceremony recognizing the Flashes senior student-athletes. It's also Solar Eclipse Day featuring solar eclipse glasses to get you ready for the eclipse in Kent on April 8. Youth athletes are invited to enjoy inflatable games in the concourse.
April 27 vs Central Michigan
Alumni Day /Umbrella Giveaway: Alumni of Kent State lacrosse are invited back to Dix Stadium as we close out the home portion of our schedule. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free Kent State umbrella.
