CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2025 women's lacrosse postseason awards on Wednesday, with four Kent State student-athletes earning All-MAC honors.
Junior midfielder Zayda Crumpton was awarded with All-MAC First Team recognition. Senior defender Sidney Dering and junior attacker Lizzie Lundeen were each named to the All-MAC Second Team. Defender Anna Zucconi was the fourth Golden Flash to be recognized by the conference, earning a MAC All-Freshman Team selection.
Crumpton earns her third All-MAC honor in as many years, claiming her second consecutive first-team recognition. The junior was the game-changer for Kent State, leading the team in points (51), draw controls (80), and caused turnovers (19). She is a true midfielder, playing most minutes in every game, running both ends of the field, and making an impact in all areas. Crumpton's team-best 51 points in 2025 was the fourth-highest total in the conference. She led Kent State with 37 goals, ranking sixth in the MAC, and added 14 assists for the Flashes, also placing her among the conference's top ten. She accumulated seven hat tricks in the 2025 season and was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week once. Crumpton's 80 draw controls and 19 caused turnovers led the team this season. She also added 19 ground balls for the Flashes in 2025.
Dering wraps up her senior season with the first All-MAC honor of her career. Dering took the majority of Kent State's draws in 2025 as a defender. Her impact on the draw was clear, consistently positioning the ball toward Crumpton to allow Crumpton to be fourth in the MAC in draw control stats. Dering herself collected 43 draw controls on the season to surpass the 100 mark for her career. Starting all 17 games, Dering's 13 caused turnovers ranked fourth on the team, while she also added 17 ground balls for the Flashes. She also tallied an assist against ACC opponent California in March.
Lundeen earns her first career All-MAC honor after a prolific goal-scoring season for the Flashes. Lundeen ranked second on Kent State with 34 goals and 36 points in 2025. Her 34 goals are the sixth most in the conference. Lundeen scored five goals on three separate occasions this season, tallying six hat tricks; only five players in the MAC had a game with more than five goals this season. Lundeen also added 13 ground balls, six caused turnovers, two assists, and two draw controls to her season tallies.
Zucconi was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team after being the only freshman to start all 17 games for the Flashes in 2025. As the "rover" in Kent State's zone defense, she was tasked with the formidable job of covering cutters and picking up anything inside the eight to get ground balls and knockdowns. Her 15 caused turnovers ranked second on the team, the most by a Kent State defender this season. She also added 20 ground balls, the fourth most on the team. Zucconi's ability to clear the ball helped significantly in the Kent State midfield game, and she was able to notch an assist against Presbyterian in February, the first of her collegiate career.
