
Cross Country Looks for Bragging Rights at We Fly Championship Preview

The Kent State cross teams will head to the site of the 2024 Mid-American Conference meet, the Ball State Cross Country Course, for the We Fly Championship Preview on Saturday.
The women's 6k race will start at 12:30 p.m. and the men's 8k race will follow at 1:15 p.m.
Previewing the Flashes
Baidy Ba opened his senior campaign with a victory at the Tommy Evans Invitational on Aug. 30. Ba was the first of 98 runners across the finish line at Silver Creek Cross Country Trails in a 6k personal-best time of 18:11.6 for his third career victory. Graduate student Ethan Yost also had a strong opener, finishing in 18:52.6 for 17th place.
The women were led by freshmen Nora Salem and Alexis Tracy. Salem finished the 5k course in 19:58.7 to place 60th, while Tracy placed 68th with a time of 20:15.0.
The Field
In addition to host Ball State (women only), Akron, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, and Toledo will also be in action.
