Notes:
- Monday will mark the sixth consecutive edition of the Fighting Irish Classic that Kent State has participated in. Last October, the Flashes finished ninth among the 15 teams competing in the event at 25-over-par. Now graduated, Jordan Gilkison led Kent State at 1-under-par to tie for seventh, while Nolan Haynes finished tied for 28th at 7-over-par.
- The Golden Flashes have a quick turnaround as they head to the Fighting Irish Classic after wrapping up the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday. Kent State finished eighth out of the ten teams competing in Arkansas at 50-over-par.
- Isaiah Ibit will not appear for Kent State this week as he heads to Singapore to compete for Team Canada at the 2025 World Amateur Team Championships. The Fighting Irish Classic will mark the first team event of Ibit's collegiate career that he does not compete in.
- Haynes headlines the Golden Flashes' lineup this week after leading the team with a career-best tied-11th place finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. Competing on a tough course against a competitive field, Haynes closed the event at 6-over-par.
- Liam Curtis earned the first top-20 finish of his collegiate career at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, tying for 20th place at 8-over-par. The freshman has had an up-and-down start to the Fall, highlighted by a 6-under-par 66 in round two of the Canadian Collegiate midway through September.
- Ben MacLean is set to make his first appearance in the Flashes' team lineup since last Fall, when he competed in two events. One of just two seniors on Kent State's roster, MacLean is a former MAC Freshman of the Year recipient in 2023.
- Christoffer Leuenhagen remains in Kent State's lineup this week. The other half of the Flashes' freshman class, alongside Curtis, Leuenhagen has also had ups and downs through the first three tournaments of his collegiate career, but has recorded two rounds under par.
- Darcy Hogg is set to make his first career appearance in the Flashes' team lineup at the Fighting Irish Classic. The sophomore appeared three times as an individual in his debut season for Kent State, tallying three rounds of par or better and a 74.57 scoring average over seven rounds of action.
- Three more members of the Kent State team will also be in action on Monday and Tuesday, as Ramiro Acevedo, Connor Malicki, and James Newton will compete in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State.
