
Flashes Lose Defensive Battle to Broncos

KALAMAZOO, Mich. โ The Kent State volleyball team lost its final road match of the season to Western Michigan, 3-0 (13-25, 20-25, 18-25), on Saturday afternoon.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
The Golden Flashes (8-19, 3-13 MAC) limited their host to a .171 hitting percentage but only managed a .008 percentage on offense. Sophomore Hailey Brenner led the defense with 12 digs and senior Greta Bolognini was right behind with 11. Junior Christina Vigil added nine digs and 24 assists.
Sophomore Avrey Rigney led the attack with a season-high seven kills. Redshirt sophomore Adalynn Ginley had six kills on 13 errorless attempts for a .462 hitting percentage.
Kent State will finish the season with home matches against Northern Illinois on Friday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 15.
