Notes:
- The Flashes are competing in the first-ever edition of the Buckeye Invitational as the second-highest-ranked team in the inaugural 13-team field according to Scoreboard's national rankings.
- In the team's last outing at the Hootie at Bulls Bay in late March, the Flashes finished eighth among a 15-team field behind a strong 12-under-par 276 in round three. Three Kent State golfers posted three consecutive rounds of par or better in the event.
- Isaiah Ibit continued a phenomenal freshman season at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, finishing tied for 16th at 6-under-par, including a 68 in round three. He boasts five top-20 finishes and a 71.96 scoring average this season.
- Nolan Haynes finished alongside Ibit for Kent State's best finish at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, also concluding the event at 6-under-par and tied for 16th. The freshman had the best outing of his collegiate career thus far, posting three consecutive rounds under par.
- Bryce Reed was the third Kent State golfer to post three consecutive rounds of par or better at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, following an opening round 71 with a pair of 72s to finish tied for 42nd.
- Despite a difficult opening two rounds at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, Jordan Gilkison still leads the Flashes with a 71.21 scoring average. The senior recovered from a 78 and 75 in rounds one and two with a 69 in the final round, his tenth round in the 60s this season.
- Ramiro Acevedo rounds out a Kent State lineup that remains unchanged from the team's previous outing at the Hootie at Bulls Bay. In the event, Acevedo finished tied for 50th at 1-over-par. He posted his best round of the tournament with a 2-under-par 70 in round three, his eighth round of par or better this season.
- After appearing in the Flashes' team lineup in the opening two tournaments of the Spring, Edvin Backstrom returns to action as an individual. The senior has recorded four rounds of par or better in 14 rounds of play this season.
- James Newton is set to make just his fourth appearance of the season, and first of the Spring, as an individual at the Buckeye Invitational. The Junior posted a top-ten finish at the Canadian Collegiate last September, highlighted by two rounds in the 60s to post a 6-under-par 54-hole score.
