
Golden Flashes to Compete at Sparky Adams Invitational

Kent State has 33 student-athletes entered for action at Baldwin Wallace's Sparky Adams Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Discus and javelin will take place on Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. Competition on Saturday will start at 10 a.m. with the shot put and 10k run. All throwing events will be held at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds with the rest of the meet taking place at George Finnie Stadium.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Eight Golden Flashes who rank in the top five in the Mid-American Conference in their respective event will be in action this weekend.
Aliesha Shaw leads the way in both the women's discus throw (160'-5") and women's shot put (47'-5.5"). Aubrey Schoeneman will also compete in the shot put (46'-9"). In men's throwing events, Donovan Crawford (hammer throw), Charles Pawlosky (shot put) and Payton Shippee (javelin) are entered.
On the track, Gabrielle Hammonds (women's 100-meter hurdles), Alexandria Verbancic (women's 400-meter hurdles) and Beau Harkelroad (men's 400-meter hurdles) headline Kent State's scheduled competitors.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Flashes will be back in action at the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26.
