JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Kent State's track and field programs add one more to the travel party to Eugene, Ore. on June 11-14 for the NCAA Division I Championships after the final day of the NCAA East Region Preliminary Round at the University of North Florida Sat.., May 31.
Reggie Jagers added to the party headed to Eugene as Danniel Thomas and Joh'Vonnie Mosley punched their tickets for the second event at the championships.
Jagers is heading to the championships in the discus throw after he finished 10th at the Prelims with a mark of 57.89m (189' 11").
Thomas and Mosley placed 11th and 12th, respectively in the shot put Saturday with marks of 16.39m (53' 9.25") and 16.34m (53' 7.5").
Matthias Tayala took to the pit for the discus as he finished 15th with a mark of 56.54m (185' 6").
The men's 4x100m relay team – Laron Brown, Miles Dunlap, William Barnes and Wayne Gordon – finished 21st with a time of 40.55 seconds.
Dior Delophont took 28th in the triple jump with a distance of 12.55m (41' 2.25").
Kent State returns to action in two weeks when they travel to the NCAA Division I Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 11-14.
