Men's Track and Field Wraps Up the Gladstein Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, IND. – Kent State's men's track and field team finished the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana on Saturday, January 24th with another great outing.
The Golden Flashes saw multiple top-three finishes on the men's side of the track meet on Saturday. Kent State was led by William Barnes who turned in a first place finish and a second place finish on the day.
Barnes came home from Indiana with a first place in the 200m dash invitational in a time of 21.65 seconds and a second place finish in the 60m hurdles at 8.01 seconds.
Matt Tobin came in behind Barnes in the 200m dash with a time of 21.99, which was good enough for third place.
Grant Onken finished the meet with a second place finish in the 800m run in a time of 1:53.99, while Jacob Swords came in fourth in the 800m run invitational at 1:51.91.
Danny Young ran a time of 1:22.92 in the 600m run for fourth place.
Tobin, Andrew O'Leary, Swords and Miles Dunlap teamed up for the 4x400m relay as they came across the line with a time of 3:15.38, in third place.
Kent State's track and field programs take a week off before returning to action when they spilt up and travel to the Meyo Invitational and the Akron Invitational on February 6th and 7th. The Golden Flashes' throwers will travel to the Findlay Open next weekend, January 30th.
