Men's Track and Field Weekend Recap: Drake Relays, Gina Relay, Ashland Open

The Kent State men's track and field team wrapped up a four meet weekend on Saturday, April 25th as they competed at the Drake Relays, Gina Relays, Kip Janvrin Open and the Ashland Alumni Open.
Drake Relays
DES MOINES, Iowa – Kent State's track and field team wrapped up their stay at the Drake Relays on Saturday, April 25th.
On Saturday, William Barnes took third out of the eight finalists in the 100m hurdles, with a time of 13.60.
Roosevelt Dotson competed in the high jump and returns home with a 19th place finish at 1.98m (6' 6").
Ashland Alumni Open
ASHLAND, Ohio – The Golden Flashes finished up the Ashland Alumni Open with a fourth and fifth place finish in the shot put.
Michael King tossed a mark of 16.87m (55' 4.25") in the shot put to take fourth place, while David Paliscak took fifth at 16.84m (55' 3").
Hillsdale GINA Relays
HILLSDALE, Michigan – Kent State closed out the GINA relays on Saturday with the 800m run.
Grant Onken was the last male to compete this weekend as he came in 20th in the 800m run championship with a time of 1:55.67.Â
The Golden Flashes return to the track for a normal weekend when they compete at the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, Ohio hosted by the Ohio State University on Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd.Â
