AKRON, Ohio – The Kent State track and field teams completed the Northeast Ohio quad on Friday, April 3rd at the University of Akron.

Day 1 Recap
On the final day of the Northeast Ohio Quad with Akron, Ashland and Youngstown State, the Golden Flashes saw Morgan Estes walk away from the women's pole vault with a first place finish. Estes moved into fourth all-time in Kent State history and a personal best.
Estes had a final jump of 3.98m (13' 0.75"), and was joined by Becca Herte and Tori Meyer in the top-10 of the meet. Herte finished in fourth at 3.83m (12' 6.75") to tie her personal best, while Meyer took sixth with a height of 3.53m (11' 7").
Jesse Oxley led the Flashes men's pole vault with a second place finish with a final height of 5.25m (17' 2.75"). Finishing in the top-10 behind Oxley were Kyle Schlumbohm, Tyler Jones, Tyler Windisch and Ryan Looser.
Schlumbohm reached a personal best height at 4.80m (15' 9") for fourth place. Jones took fifth at 4.65m (15' 3") as Windisch was in seventh with a final 4.50m (14' 9"), which set his new personal best. Looser placed 10th with a final mark of 4.00m (13' 1.25").
Jackie Leppelmeier took third on the day and finished with a distance of 59.62m (195' 7"), as younger sister Rebecca Leppelmeier came home in eighth place with a mark of 46.66m (153' 1").
Dior Delophont and Roosevelt Dotson finished the meet with third place finishes as Delophont placed third in the women's javelin and Dotson in the men's high jump.
Delophont had a final throw of 40.60m (133' 2"), and was joined by Audra Puckrin who set a personal best 30.64m (100' 6") for seventh place and Chelsea Laury in ninth at 24.10m (79' 1").
Dotson placed third in the high jump with a height of 2.00m (6' 6.75") for his first outdoor mark of the season. Abdul-Nasser Seidu followed right behind Dotson with a fourth place finish and first mark of the outdoor season of 1.95m (6' 4.75").
In the women's high jump, Lauren Pannell finished in fourth with a best height of 1.63m (5' 4.25").
On the men's javelin side, Tyler Jones took fifth, 49.24m (161' 6"), and Ryan Looser took seventh, 48.99m (160' 8"), as both athletes set personal bests in Akron.
The Golden Flashes will next head to the Tennessee Relays on Thursday, April 9th and compete through Saturday, April 11th in Knoxville, Tennessee.
