Women's Basketball Returns to the M.A.C.C. and MAC-East Action

Women's basketball (3-13, 0-5) returns to the friendly confines of the M.A.C. Center and returns to Mid-American Conference East Division action when the team hosts MAC-leading Ohio (13-3, 5-0) Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

The Matchup
• Kent State is 51-26 all-time versus Ohio
• The Golden Flashes were beat 69-56 at home and 58-44 on the road last season
• Their last victory over the Bobcats was on March 5, 2014 when they won 69-64 in Athens
• Ohio is the MAC leader as the only undefeated team through five games

• Jordan Korinek and Larissa Lurken have led the team in scoring in 13 out of the team's 15 games, with Korinek being the top scorer in eight and Lurken in five
• Korinek has also led the team in rebounds in ten contests
• She ranks 7th in the conference in scoring, 8th in rebounds, 4th in field goal percentage, 10th in free throw percentage and 8th in defensive rebounds
• Lurken ranks 7th in steals, 10th in three-point shots made and 8th in minutes played
• Naddiyah Cross is 7th in assists
• Alexa Golden ranks 9th in the MAC in steals
Looking Back
• Kent State dropped a 51-72 effort at Eastern Michigan in which the Golden Flashes put forth a tough battle despite the final score
• The Golden Flashes were in the game from the onset and trailed by one before the Eagles rimmed in a three at the buzzer to conclude the first three quarters
• The home team then outscored the visitors 6-23 in the fourth to come away with the win
• Korinek was a rebound shy of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds
Looking Forward
• Seven of the Golden Flashes' 12 remaining regular season games will be played at home in the M.A.C. Center following Wednesday's matchup
