Women's basketball hits the road on Wednesday to face Mid-American Conference leader Ohio in a 7 p.m. game.

• Kent State is 51-27 all-time against Ohio
• The Golden Flashes fell 93-54 earlier this season at home and dropped both meetings a season ago
• The Bobcats have just one loss in 14 conference game. That came February 2 at Buffalo by a score of 51-43
• Ohio is averaging 72.7 points per game and 38.7 rebounds per game, and is beating opponents by an average of 13.7 points this season
• Individually, Kiyanna Black is the team leader in scoring, bringing in 18.5 points per game
• Jasmine Witherspoon leads in rebounds with 6.5 and also has a team-high 47 blocks this season
O'Banion Named USBWA Most Courageous Award Winner
• The U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced Monday that Head Coach Danielle O'Banion has been named the Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award Winner for women's basketball
• The award is given annually to honor players, coaches, officials or administrators in college basketball who have demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of adversity
• O'Banion earned the recognition after her brave fight with Stage 2 lymphoma during the 2014-15 season
• She will receive her award at the NCAA Women's Final Four in Indianapolis on April 3
If the Tournament Started Today…
• If the Mid-American Conference were to start today, Ohio would be the No. 1 seed with a 13-1 record
• Central Michigan would be the No. 2 at 11-3
• Also receiving byes would be Ball State and Toledo, as they are both 10-4
• Kent State would be the No. 12 seed and travel to No. 5 seed Eastern Michigan
• Akron and Western Michigan would have a tie-breaker for 6th and 7th spots
• From the bottom up, Northern Illinois and Miami would be the 10 and 11 seeds while Buffalo and Bowling Green would be 8 and 9
• MAC play ends on March 5. The Golden Flashes have four regular season games remaining
