Flashes Head to Toledo for MAC Championships
The men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the Mid-American Conference championships in Toledo on Saturday at the Ottawa Park Golf Course.
The women's 6k race will begin at 11 a.m., with the men's 8k race following at noon.
Nine runners will race for each team. The men are led by Clark Bookman, who has two top five finishes this season including a win in the Tommy Evans Invitational. His victory was the first and of his career and the first Kent State victory since the 2012 season. Joining Bookman on the men's side are Brandon Avers, Joshua Allen, Sam Goodman, Kevin Jones, Justin McKeal, Ryan Palm, Colton Shail and Alex Stamper.
Maddie Dunlap leads the women with three top 12 finishes this season, including a season-best fifth place finish in the Tommy Evans Invitational. She will be joined on the women's side by Jaimie Adams, Rachel Banks, Kalli Barrett, Olivia Davis, Nicole Fleming, Samantha Hyme, Leah Lisle and Lianna Tirado.
