Flashes Host Bonnies in Second Home Lacrosse Game

KENT, Ohio โ The Kent State women's lacrosse team hosts its second home game of the season against St. Bonaventure on Sunday, March 3, at 1 p.m. at Dix Stadium.
The Flashes are in search of their first win in program history after dropping the first four games of the season. The team came close to its first win against Butler on Feb. 22, when they grabbed the first lead in program history before a late Bulldogs' rally sealed the game.
In goal, Golden Flashes team captain Grace Merrill is leading with 9.75 saves per game in the last four matchups. She is ranked second in the ASUN Conference with 39 saves and posts an overall save percentage of 44.1 percent.
Abby Jones leads the Flashes with seven points, while scoring six goals this the season. Lluna Katz and Megan Kozar are tied with four points each. Kozar has helped the team with two assists, tied for the team lead with Kelli Bailey. ย
Scouting St. Bonaventure
St. Bonaventure is 0-2 on the season, with losses coming against Lafayette and Niagara. The team scored just three goals in those two games while surrendering 35.
The Bonnies are led by the trio of Ashley Easterday, Olivia MacDonald and Rylee Arnold, who have each scored a goal this season. Savannah Gonsiorek has recorded three ground balls and three caused turnovers this season.

Kent State will hit the road for a three-game road trip that includes games against No. 20 Michigan, Detroit Mercy and Saint Francis (Pa.). The next home game for the Flashes will be Friday, March 22, against Gardner-Webb at 3 p.m.
