
Flashes Compete in Boilermaker Invite

KENT, Ohio- The Kent State University men's golf team is set to defend its title in the Boilermaker Invitational, hosted by Purdue at the Kampen Course, beginning Saturday at 8:45 a.m.
Fifteen teams will play 36 holes Saturday, followed by 18 more Sunday. Eight teams ranked in the nation's top 100 will be in the field and all 15 teams are ranked in the nation's top 150, led by No. 5-ranked Oklahoma and No. 49-ranked Northwestern.

THE FLASHES LINEUP
Kent State will be traveling with a lineup of Gisli Sveinbergsson, Johnny Travale, Julien Paltrinieri, Will Kurtz, Josh Gilkison, and Brayden Baldridge.
Last time out, the Flashes competed in the Aggie Invitational, but the tournament was canceled due to impending bad weather.
Last season, the Flashes and Northwestern shared the title, posting a 3-over par score in a rain-shortened event that was reduced to 36 holes.
