
Flashes Fall to Chippewas in Final Road Game

Mount Pleasant, Mich. – Kent State (2-14) dropped a non-conference matchup to Central Michigan (7-9) on Saturday morning to conclude its road competition for the season.
The Chippewas fired out of the gates, securing a 9-0 lead halfway through the first period before taking a 13-3 lead into the halftime break.
Abby Jones (2g) recorded her team-high 47th point of the season, while Lluna Katz (1g) scored her team-high 32nd goal.
Anna Woodhams scored her fourth goal of the season and Katie Stachler scored her third of the year.
Jones and Eva Nikolai each recorded four draw controls. Graceyn Dean and Hailee Andry finished with two caused turnover each.
The Chippewas were led by a balanced attack with five different players scoring three goals led by Jessica Schuchardt (3g, 4a) and Natalie Karlen (3g, 2a).
Hope Murray recorded five saves for Central Michigan. The Chippewas fired 27 shots on goal as opposed to only 12 for the Golden Flashes.

The Flashes return home to wrap up the 2019 season with an ASUN conference matchup against Liberty on April 24 at 3 p.m. at Dix Stadium.
