Flashes Dominant against Bellarmine

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State field hockey team (6-4, 2-1 MAC) was dominant in their 5-0 victory against Bellarmine this weekend at Trager Stadium.
Kent State led in shots (24-9), shots on goal (14-5), and penalty corners (10-5). Highlighting the Flashes were Junior Maria Cambra Soler and freshman Jersey Hasenbos who scored two goals each. Freshman Madison Leety also found the back of the net.
The game was tied at the end of the first quarter, but the Flashes were able to score twice in the second taking a 2-0 lead into halftime. Kent State would strike two more times in the third quarter and once more in the fourth to solidify their 5-0 victory.
The Flashes are set to take on Longwood on Friday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. at Murphy-Mellis Field.
