Flashes Lose Road Contest Against Zips

AKRON, Ohio – The Kent State lacrosse team (3-8, 2-4 MAC) fell in the second leg of the Wagon Wheel challenge against Akron (6-7, 3-5 MAC) on Tuesday evening.
The Golden Flashes and Zips split the one available point in the Wagon Wheel challenge. The two teams are now each 1-1 lifetime against one another.
It was not Kent State's night as they were without leading goal scorer, Madison Rapier, for the second straight contest. Abby Jones, Megan Kozar and Kenzie Sklar each scored twice and accounted for all six the team's goals.
The Golden Flashes will travel to Michigan to take on Detroit Mercy on Thursday, April 22, at 1 p.m.

Detroit Mercy is currently in fifth place in the MAC standings with a 1-2 conference record. Elise Harder leads the Titans with 15 goals on the season. In just four total games in 2021, three different Titans have recorded double digit points.
