Myrtle Beach, SC... After almost a full month off, the Kent State men's golf team will get back to work on the links at this year's General Hackler Championship in South Carolina.
"This is a course that several of our guys know very well," KSU head coach Jon Mills said. "We're familiar with the venue and we've had a lot of time off but we look forward to seeing how our team responds. This is an important week against a strong field and it's time for us to step up our game."
Last time out, the Flashes were led by Cade Breitenstine, who finished the Hal Williams Collegiate in a tie for ninth, ahead of Jordan Gilkison in a tie for 12th.
As a team, Kent State closed out the first event of their spring calendar in seventh, and will be in search of a strong finish in Myrtle Beach this weekend with just four more events before this year's MAC Championships.
While #16 Virginia is the only team in this year's General Hackler to enter with a ranking, this year's field includes a great wealth of teams in the top-50, all hungry to climb back into the rankings next week.
