Men's Golf Back to Work at Boilermaker Invitational

West Lafayette, IND... After two weeks to rest up, the Kent State men's golf team will be back in action this Friday, when they travel to Indiana for this year's Boilermaker Invitational.
The Flashes took fourth out of a 12-team field at the Purdue Invite last fall, but will see an all new course this spring, which could make for an interesting weekend for all teams competing.
"We're excited to get back to Purdue," KSU head coach Jon Mills said. "The Ackerman course is one that we don't know as much about but we've seen a lot of good things out of the team this week and we hope that translates to a high level of competition and focus on the course."
Last time out, Chris Vandette led the Flashes through the Hootie at Bulls Bay, ending his weekend in a tie for 16th.
With just two more events on the schedule before this year's MAC Championship, this will be a great opportunity for Kent State to scope out a pair of Mid-American Conference foes, as they compete alongside Eastern Michigan and Ball State this weekend.
Friday's opening round will begin with a 2:30 central tee time and Kent State will be paired with Rutgers and Illinois State for the duration.
