
Pair of Double-Doubles Lead the Way in School Field Trip Day Victory

KENT, Ohio — Senior Jenna Batsch and freshman Meghan Murray recorded double-doubles as Kent State defeated Virginia University of Lynchburg, 103-41, during Monday's annual School Field Trip Day presented by Ohio's 529 College Advantage.
Batsch led all scorers with 17 points and added a career-high 11 assists. Murray posted career-highs with 11 points, 13 assists and seven rebounds.
The Golden Flashes (6-4) totaled a season-high 34 assists on 39 made shots while committing only six turnovers.
All 10 Kent State players who entered the game scored a basket and six reached double-figures. Sophomore Riley Rismiller had 16, freshman Journey Hildebrand scored 15, sophomore Janae Tyler added 13 and sophomore Mya Babbitt added 12.
The Flashes matched their season-high with 13 three-pointers, as Hildebrand led the way with five makes.
Kent State nearly doubled the visiting Dragons on the boards with a 54-28 advantage. Senior Bridget Dunn tied her season-best performance with 12 rebounds, while Babbitt and Rismiller added seven each.
The Flashes will hit the road for the final time before the start of Mid-American Conference play with a contest at Coppin State on Thursday, Dec. 19.
