
Golden Flashes kick off 2024 season against Ohio State

The Kent State lacrosse team travels to Columbus to take on Ohio State in the 2024 season opener on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.
About the Golden Flashes
Led by Head Coach Brianne Tierney, the Golden Flashes enter their sixth season as a program and fourth as part of the Mid-American Conference.
After the Golden Flashes shared the first MAC regular season championship in program history, Kent State prepares for another record-breaking season with 19 contributors returning from last season's squad. Jackie Wolford, Kent State's all-time points leader and the reigning MAC Offensive Player of the Year, begins her senior campaign alongside sophomore Zayda Crumpton. Crumpton was named All-MAC Second Team and led the team in caused turnovers.
About the Buckeyes
Ohio State started off the season with a scrimmage against Vanderbilt on Friday, Feb. 2. The Buckeyes' season and home opener will take place on Friday, Feb. 9 against Robert Morris. Ohio State had three student-athletes โ Jamie Lasda, Regan Alexander, and Emily Magalotti โ selected to the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list.
Head coach Amanda Moore enters her first year with Ohio State lacrosse. The Buckeyes will compete in the new Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium for the second season.
Series History
The Flashes and Buckeyes meet for the second time after Ohio State won 22-11 in 2020. The Buckeyes led in shots on goal, 34-22, and draw controls ,17-16.
