Flashes Set to Compete in Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate

The Kent State men's golf team is back in action for their second tournament this week, this time competing in the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of South Carolina.
Kent State will bring five golfers to the 15 team event, which will stretch from Sunday to Tuesday. Tomorrow's first round will begin at 9 a.m. The Flashes five competitors are set to tee off from 10:03 to 10:39 a.m.
Last year, Kent State placed 13th out of 15 teams at the event. Chris Vandette, Cade Breitenstine and Jordan Gilkison all finished in the top 40, with Vandette leading the way tying for 16th.

Kent State tied for 9th out of 14 teams at the General Jim Hackler Championship. Chris Vandette continued his strong play tying for 12th among the 81 golfer field to finish at even par. Jordan Gilkison and Bryce Reed also placed in the top 30, tying for 28th.
