
Golden Flashes continue MAC play against Eastern Michigan

The Kent State lacrosse team (4-8, 1-1 MAC) travels to Ypsilanti, Mich. to take on Eastern Michigan (4-4, 1-0 MAC) on Sunday, March 31 at 12 p.m in a Mid-American Conference matchup.
About the Golden Flashes
The Flashes fell 21-5 against Pitt on Tuesday. Jackie Wolford secured her ninth straight hat trick of the season, while Morgan Halli and Emily Bond also scored one goal each. On Saturday, Kent State fell 11-10 in the third overtime period against Robert Morris. Peyton Gellin recorded a hat trick and six draw controls during the game. Wolford also had a season high and conference high of 16 shots.
Wolford ranks No. 1 in goals (43), points (55), and shots (109) in the MAC. Zayda Crumpton currently leads the MAC with 15 assists and ranks No. 2 in draw controls (56).
About the Eagles
On Sunday, Eastern Michigan secured an 11-10 victory over Akron for the Eagle's MAC opener. Sophomore Mackenzie Blackwell was announced as the MAC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after netting four goals, including the game-winning goal against the Zips. Goalkeeper Maddie Porter secured 10 saves and a team-leading six ground balls.
Blackwell leads the MAC in goals per game (4.00), draw controls per game (5.50), and points per game (4.25). With 12 assists, Tracy Grollman is ranked No. 1 for assists per game (1.50).
Series History
The Flashes are 1-0 over the Eagles after a 19-9 victory last season. Kent State led in shots on goal (28-22) and draw controls (18-14). Wolford matched a season high of seven goals.
