
Lacrosse honored with five MAC Postseason Awards

CLEVELAND - The Kent State lacrosse team had five student-athletes honored with postseason 2024 Mid-American Conference awards, announced this afternoon.
Jackie Wolford, Lily Miller, and Zayda Crumpton were all awarded with All-MAC First Team recognition. Morgan Halli and Sydney Davis were honored with MAC All-Freshman Team accolades.
Wolford was named All-MAC First Team for the third consecutive season. She led the conference in points (77) and goals (60) for the second straight year. Wolford started and played in every contest this season, recording nine straight hat tricks and totaling 13 games with three or more goals. Wolford matched the program individual game record of 10 points against Akron. She finishes her career as the MAC all-time leader in points (241) and goals (197).
Miller received All-MAC First Team recognition for the second year in a row. She led the team in ground balls (26) and caused turnovers (17). Miller recorded a game high of four ground balls against Pitt and a season high of three caused turnovers in the victory against Central Michigan. She finished her career as Flashes all-time leader in ground balls (95) and caused turnovers (57).
Crumpton ranked No. 2 in the MAC for draw controls per game (4.71) and assists per game (1.18). She broke her own Kent State single season record with 80 draw controls and matched the program individual game record of nine draw controls three times. Crumpton was second on the team with 34 goals and 54 points. Her speed was an asset on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 16 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Halli made an appearance in 16 games this season. She recorded her first career hat trick against Saint Francis and added another hat trick against Akron. Halli completed her freshman season with 17 goals and eight assists for 25 points.
Davis started in eight games, winning the role of starter as the Flashes hit the bulk of their conference contests. In 13 games, she recorded 76 saves and ranked No. 2 in the MAC with a .475 save percentage. Against Colorado, Davis made a career high of 19 saves, which was one save away from tying the program individual game record.
