Kent State Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky.— The Kent State volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year, the organization announced on Wednesday. This is the 14th time the Golden Flashes have received the honor.
More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
The Golden Flashes continue to raise the standard in the classroom and have a program record 3.629 cumulative GPA following a impressive spring semester.
