
Men’s Golf to Open Season at the Gopher Invitational

The Kent State men's golf team is set to open the 2024-2025 season on Sunday with the Gopher Invitational at Windsong Farm Golf Club. The first two rounds of the tournament will be contested on Sunday before concluding with round three on Monday.

Notes:
- The Flashes have competed in the Gopher Invitational every year since 2011, except for 2018 and 2020. Kent State opened the 2023 season with a runner-up finish at the tournament.
- Two-time All-MAC first-team selection Jordan Gilkison is back for his senior season. Gilkison opened the 2023 season with a top-ten finish at the Gopher Invitational, posting a score of 2-under-par.
- Bryce Reed also returns to the Flashes after being named to the All-MAC second-team last season. The senior earned his selection after recording three top-15 finishes last Spring.
- Isaiah Ibit is set to make his collegiate debut for the Flashes on Sunday as the lone freshman in the Kent State lineup.
- Former Flash Corey Conners won back-to-back individual titles at the Gopher Invitational in 2012 and 2013. Conners was selected as a captain's pick to compete for the international team at the 2024 Presidents Cup this past week.
