
Flashes Set to Host Lindenwood at Dix Stadium on Sunday

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State lacrosse team is set for their second contest in Dix Stadium this season on Sunday as they welcome Lindenwood for the team's sixth game of 2025. The game is a white out for fans in attendance, and the first 100 fans will receive a hot chocolate voucher.
ABOUT THE FLASHES
Kent State fell to 2-3 on the season after the Flashes were unable to overcome a quick start by Bucknell on Tuesday. The Flashes dropped the road contest 17-6 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Zayda Crumpton led Kent State in the game with a team-high three points through two goals and an assist. She improved her season tallies to seven goals and four assists for a joint team-high 11 points. Crumpton also led the team with five draw controls at Bucknell. Another player with 11 points on the season is Haleigh Greenberg, who improved her goalscoring tally to seven on the season with a pair of goals in the Bucknell defeat. Despite not recording a point at Bucknell, Morgan Halli also has 11 points on the season for Kent State with six goals and a team-high five assists. Through five games, Lizzie Lundeen is the Flashes' leading scorer with ten goals. Defensively, Kent State was led by Allie Bradley in the Bucknell defeat as she tallied two draw controls, two ground balls, and caused a turnover. Sidney Dering also had three draw controls for the Flashes. Ella Gravitt played a majority of the minutes in goal for Kent State at Bucknell, recording 12 saves to improve her season total to 29 saves in 125 minutes played.
SCOUTING LINDENWOOD
The lions are currently 3-1 in the 2025 season, recording three wins against opponents on the upcoming schedule for Kent State in Youngstown State, Mercyhurst, and Saint Francis. Lindenwood most recently recorded a 14-9 win over the Red Storm in Loretto on Thursday. The Lions' lone loss came at George Mason last Sunday, 11-16, a team that Kent State defeated 13-9 to open the season. Junior attacker Luci Selander leads the Lions on the season with 18 points, however, she is one goal shy of top goal scorer Reese Krieger, who has netted 15 through four games in 2025. Graduate attacker Ryleigh Cavanaugh has amassed 44 draw controls through four games to lead the Lions, while freshman defender Julia Bella leads the team with nine caused turnovers and 10 ground balls. In goal, graduate Aislinn Sweeney has tallied 51 saves and a .537 save percentage while playing a large majority of the minutes for Lindenwood.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flashes and Lions have met just twice all-time, with Lindenwood claiming the win in both matchups. The teams met in St. Charles last season, as the Lions recorded an 18-11 win. The teams also met at Dix Stadium in 2023, a game won 18-13 by the Lindenwood.
