AKRON, Ohio —Sophomore Janae Tyler recorded her first collegiate double-double on Saturday as Kent State defeated Akron, 64-44, for its sixth consecutive victory in the rivalry.

Tyler scored the first five points of the final period and Batsch followed with a three-pointer to give Kent State its largest lead of the contest at 60-35 with 6:22 remaining.
