BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Kent State lost to Bowling Green, 84-61, as the road schedule came to an end Wednesday night at the Stroh Center.
The Falcons shot 7-of-10 from three-point range over the first 10 minutes and led 30-18 at the end of the first quarter.
The Golden Flashes (19-11, 11-6 MAC) trailed by as many as 23 in the second quarter but scored the final six points of the opening half to make it 46-29 at the break. That momentum carried into the third period, as a three-pointer by senior Jenna Batsch and layup by junior Dionna Gray extended it to an 11-0 run.
A jump shot by Batsch got within single-digits with 2:08 remaining in the third quarter, but the shorthanded Flashes shot just 5-of-17 the rest of the game.
Batsch finished with 25 points and surpassed 500 on the season, becoming Kent State's first player to reach that mark since the 2018-19 season.
Junior Tatiana Thomas tied her career-high with 14 points and Gray also finished in double-figures with 10.
The Flashes will close the regular season with Senior Day at the M.A.C. Center on Saturday against Toledo.
