
Kent State Beats Saint Francis (Pa.), 10-6

KENT, Ohio โ Kent State beat Saint Francis (Pa.), 10-6, on Friday afternoon for its first home win of the season at Dix Stadium.
Lizzie Lundeen gave the Golden Flashes (3-4) an early lead with two goals in the opening three minutes. After the Red Flash evened the score, Zayda Crumpton found the back of the net to make it 3-2 at the end of the first quarter. Saint Francis scored the lone goal in the second period to tie it 3-3 at halftime.
Lundeen, Morgan Halli and Crumpton each scored in the first five minutes of the third quarter and Kent State took a 6-5 lead into the fourth.
Following Halli's second goal of the day with 12:45 to play, the Red Flash answered 45 seconds later to get back within a goal. Allie Lee netted a goal a few minutes later and Crumpton put the game out of reach with two more goals, bringing her total to four on the day.
Sydney Davis and Ella Gravitt played 30 minutes each in goal. Davis made six saves, while Gravitt recorded four saves and team-high seven groundballs.
Kent State will be back in action at Dix Stadium on Monday, March 10 and hosts California at 1 p.m.
