
Lacrosse Set to Welcome Eastern Michigan on Sunday

KENT, Ohio – MACtion returns to Dix Stadium for Kent State Lacrosse on Sunday afternoon as the Flashes host Eastern Michigan. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. on alumni and youth day, the first 100 fans receive a powder blue Kent State lacrosse t-shirt.
ABOUT THE FLASHES
Kent State (6-8, 1-2) enters Sunday's matchup after falling 17-3 at Louisville on Wednesday in the team's final non-conference game of 2025. Sophomore goalkeeper Syndey Davis recorded a season-high 14 saves in the contest, her fourth double-digit save performance in the last five games. Zayda Crumpton opened the scoring against the Cardinals, improving her team-high season tally to 31 goals. Crumpton also leads the Flashes with 12 assists this season. Lizzie Lundeen found the back of the net for the eighth time in the last nine games, ranking second on the team with 27 goals in 2025. After surpassing the 100 career draw control milestone against Akron, Sidney Dering led Kent State with four draw controls at Louisville, also forcing one turnover in the tie. Dering is second on the team with 37 draw controls this season, trailing just Crumpton with 68. Freshman defender Anna Zucconi led the Flashes with two ground balls against the Cardinals, improving her season tally to 18. Zucconi also has 12 caused turnovers on the season for Kent State. With non-conference action now in the rearview, the Flashes have three MAC contests remaining in the regular season as they welcome the Eagles on Sunday, before heading to Robert Morris next weekend and hosting Youngstown State for senior day at Dix Stadium on April 26.
SCOUTING EASTERN MICHIGAN
The Eagles possess a 2-2 MAC record and fell to 6-7 overall on the season on Friday as they lost a close home contest to Oregon, 13-11. In Eastern Michigan's most recent MAC contest last Sunday against Detroit Mercy, the Eagles claimed a 13-8 home win over the Titans. Junior attacker Mackenize Blackwell has been prolific up front for Eastern Michigan all season, tallying a MAC-leading 45 goals in 13 games. The Eagles also have three other players with double-digit goal tallies in 2025, including 25 by freshman midfielder Katheryn Wilson. Junior attacker Avery Schwab leads the team with 13 assists this season. Freshman midfielder Emerson Henry is second in the MAC with 75 draw controls, while junior defender Annika Wozney leads the Eagles with 13 caused turnovers in 2025.
SERIES HISTORY
Eastern Michigan is currently in the program's third season of existence. The teams have split the opening two all-time meetings between the programs, with a 1-1 record. Sunday marks the first time the Flashes have ever hosted the Eagles, with the first two meetings taking place in Ypsilanti. Eastern Michigan recorded a 12-11 win in the teams' most recent matchup in 2024.
